Did you really try drinking it?
Why, of course I did! The only modification was that I used dry Vermouth, not red (sweet) one, for lack of immediate resources. It was a Drai Shnei Zeisem,* or, as the young people say, a "32o", inflationarily speaking a 43p, which, remarkably, was actually the average price in Golder's Green in the late 1940s (3s/7d).
